John Eussen - Profile

John Eussen
Director, Eussen Pr Consulting

John Eussen has been working across several areas of the interiors and textiles industry for more than 20 years.

After graduating from Wollongong University in 1984, he practised teaching for two years, specialising in arts and psychology, before going on to complete a post-graduate in marketing and advertising. This led him into the fast-paced world of sales, where he quickly moved up the ranks of marketing and into general corporate management.

Fusing his experience with the arts and his long-time interest in textiles, John soon carved out a marketing niche in interiors, specialising in textile trends and bed fashions. In this role, he travelled extensively through international textile manufacturing areas such as South Africa, the UK, Europe, America, and the Asia Pacific region, forging life-long business contacts and developing key trade networks, as well as implementing new lifestyle trends.

John’s extensive marketing work in interiors has seen him become one of the most experienced figureheads of the industry, holding high-profile positions at several large textile companies. Over the past decade, John has been the managing director of Fabric Library Australasia and Rowes Fabrics, as well as general manager at Charles Parsons Homewares.

Today, John is concentrating on broadening his horizons within the world of interiors by forging long-term networking opportunities between like-minded companies. One of his strengths is pooling the marketing resources of complementary companies through opportunities such as trade shows or consumer fairs, while maintaining the individuality of each enterprise. He values hands-on involvement with clients through the evolution of their business and implementation of new commercial strategies. In fact, many of John’s previous clients have now become personal friends.

John also has a particular interest in sustainable living, specialising in interior design concepts and home wares that harness the natural elements of warming and cooling while having minimal impact on the environment. Together with his teaching background, his love of the arts and his passion for a sustainable future, John’s extensive experience in textiles marketing, sales and general business management makes him one of the most knowledgeable people in the Australian interiors industry to date.
