Marketing ‘Greener’ Products Seminar

The business of eco-design

Why is Design Victoria focusing on eco-design?

Eco-design – or known internationally as ‘design for the environment’ or ‘design for sustainability’, is crucial in moving Victoria towards a more sustainable future.

Design Victoria is partnering with Centre for Design at RMIT University – leaders in eco-design research and Industry professionals to deliver the Design Ready eco-design seminar and workshop series for Victorian small to medium enterprises to impart strategies for the effective integration of environmental considerations into the creation of sustainable products and services.

Seminar overview

Maximising your company's financial return on design and development investment is challenging. With sustainability increasingly influencing business decision-making, it is vital to capitalise on every opportunity to market your business's response to this major change in consumer behaviour in order to provide maximum return.

This seminar will highlight the importance of 'walking the walk' and 'talking the talk' when it comes to sustainable business practices and initiatives.

The follow-up full day workshop will provide attendees with relevant tools enabling businesses to embrace sustainable practices in their marketing and promotional activities. Presenters will cover topics including:

  • How to effectively market green products?
  • Avoiding green-washing- ACCC requirements and legal issues
  • Labelling, certifications and regulations – What you need to know?
