Rules of Engagement – The Brand Review

Workshop overview

Surviving today's rapidly changing world requires business, product and service development to not only anticipate change, but drive it. A successful brand communicates a powerful position in the market. It is important to continue to build brand recognition, value and positioning to maintain or gain market share.

Design's enabling capabilities are recognised as an effective way to bridge the innovation, research, management and design gap and can be successfully applied to the development and positioning of a brand.

First in a three part series, this workshop will enable participants to apply their business model to assess the effectiveness of their brand's current market positioning. The two follow-on workshops will apply the findings of their brand review and consider the marketing and communications planning process.

Workshop 1 – The Brand Review

A good brand strategically aligns to a future business direction and clearly communicates an organisation’s values. Furthermore, brands that are future-orientated and meet best-practice design principles assist businesses to build competitive advantage.
