Mary Jane has thirteen years experience managing and implementing economic revitalisations programs for local, state government and business associations. This has led to her developing extensive skills in strategic marketing, public relations, customer service, promotions, event management, communication, facilitation, negotiation, research, project management and training.
Mary Jane has conducted facilitation and strategic business planning sessions with Town Centre Traders and stakeholders to articulate their visions and goals which were to be included in the Town Centre’s marketing, promotions and business development action plan.
Mary Jane consulted on a market research study for Williamstown, Glenroy and Bacchus Marsh to minimise escape expenditure. She developed business attraction packs, to attract complimentary new business to the shopping precinct.
Mary Jane liaised with Tourism Victoria, state and local government, Country Tourism Council and Area Consultative committees to link in with national and state tourism promotions to increase the profile of leisure precincts. Examples include; Victoria on Show and Holiday and Travel Show, WREDO, Tourism Victoria, Jigsaw Program.
Mary Jane holds a Bachelor of Education, Trainer/Mentor NEIS Program; Trainer Certificate 11 Retail Operations. She is Project Coordinator for Western Melbourne Regional Economic Development Organisation.
As a VECCI consultant, Mary Jane provides training and consulting services in the areas of; business planning; business evaluation; event management; mentoring small business; business coaching; marketing, public relations, promotions; training and facilitation.
Her recent clients include; local government departments, Tourism Victoria and SOCOG (Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch Relay).
