Yvette Karklins has a varied background, she is a qualified secondary school teacher, after a number of years teaching in Melbourne and the UK, she set up and ran a jewellery display props design and manufacturing business for 15 years before joining the family engineering company, Wharington International.

Yvette has established within the company the sustainable commercial furniture division utilising the company’s Recopol™ recycled engineering grade plastic moulding process.

Yvette also has an interest in the design of library returns and established the Shute-to-Shelf™ ergonomic manual handling equipment division, designing interior layouts and specialised equipment for libraries.

Yvette completed her post-graduate interior design diploma at RMIT in 1990 and is a Green Star accredited professional.
