St Helena's Secondary College

Design supports Victoria’s cutting edge education

Facts at a Glance

Challenge

Providing a platform for St Helena's Secondary College to share their new nanotechnology curriculum (a Victorian-first initiative) with other Victorian secondary school teachers and students.

Solution

To develop the first phase of the interactive SHINE (St Helena Innovative Nanotechnology Education) website containing curriculum, images and the latest developments in nanoscience with separate sections for student and teacher resources.

Outcome

The website was launched by the Victorian Minister for Education, John Lenders, in May 2007. Through the website, St Helena’s engaging nanoscience curriculum is now accessed by teachers and students throughout Australia and around the world.

The full story on this Victorian government pilot Business Immersion - a collaborative effort between the college, nanoscience consultants bridge8, design studio R-Co and web developer GeekIt! is available.
