Design Victoria's website provides access to this wealth of knowledge, demonstrating the social, environmental, cultural and environmental benefits of design, emerging trends and the way design can be effectively used by small to medium enterprises to increase competitiveness and business growth.

Through our range of informative and practival resources provided below, Design Victoria is adressing identified skill gaps within industry.

Research

The Victorian Government has long recognised the importance of design in achieving economic transformation, understanding research to inform policy and investment in design initiatives. Design Victoria's research program works to build a case for design application in industry and track and predict trends in the Victorian design sector and industry use of design.

A further study into Victoria’s design sector has been conducted in 2009 focussing on design education and skills analysis. The research will enable collaboration within the design industry and across sector between design education institutions.
