Why design?

To create memorable communication.

However beautiful, crafted or considered, design is worthless if the message is lost. Yet good design must do more than just present information. It looks for new ways to tell a story. Ways that inspire and provoke.

Design is a claim, a point of view, an attitude, an opinion. It evokes, inspires, warns, sympathises, welcomes, befriends, surprises. And if it's truly doing its job, it is embedded in our psyches and remembered.

Design accepts a challenge and creates in its wake a compelling and inviting solution. It replaces incognisance with awareness, lethargy with activity, confusion with enlightenment. It is an essential element in the way we interact with each other as a society.

Design has the ability to communicate intangibles, thereby influencing attitudes, behaviour and involvement among consumers.

Design enables powerful communication.
