Unfortunately, success in business requires excellence in both areas – an understanding of the ‘purpose’ and ‘personality’ of any given product or service. And most people are naturally geared to put more effort into one aspect, generally at the expense of the other. When design professionals and business builders can align function with design, and dedicate equal attention to both facets, world‑beating innovation is the result.

Biography

James Tuckerman is the founder and editor‑in‑chief of Anthill ‑ a media company dedicated to educating innovators and entrepreneurs. He is responsible for the launch of numerous initiatives and programs dedicated to the promotion and development of new and innovative Australian businesses, such as the Cool Company Awards, 30under30, the SMART 100 and Pitch Club.
