Why Design?
Everything you see around you that is not nature or a natural process is designed from a roof tile to an automobile to a delightful (or not so delightful) service experience. Why not be more intentional about it? Why not ask: Is it good for people? Is it good for the planet? Does it build on existing behaviour? Does it promote desirable behaviour? Does it function well and look good? Where does it go when it dies? design is about intent.
