Why Design?
Design is seeing.
Seeing in the physiological sense.
Seeing in the epistemological sense.
Seeing in the ontological sense.
Not all of us can see.
Some think they can but can’t.
Some can but don’t.
Some can but to varying degrees.
Seeing, while not protected as the rightful domain of the gifted, is open to use, misuse and abuse. As human values shift, so too does the acceptance of the value of seeing.
An enlightened society is one which ascribes value and therefore trust in those gifted with seeing.
