Programs

Design Victoria programs aim to achieve business growth, in particular export growth, for Victorian industry and designers.

Design Ready targets industry

We are seeking to increase the proportion of Victorian industries that are Design Ready by demonstrating to small to medium enterprises how they can best use design to create innovative, profitable products and services. Businesses wanting to improve competitiveness and increase markets are our focus with an emphasis on the Victorian government’s key growth sectors.

Our focus is:

  • Best practice in the use of design within business
  • Maximising export growth and competitiveness through design
  • Best practice in working with designers.

Business Ready targets designers

Through our Business Ready programs, we aim to increase the national and international competitiveness of Victorian designers, greater engagement with industry and improved export performance.

Design Knowledge

Through our Business Immersions programcase studies and our regular research, Design Victoria will build a comprehensive body of knowledge on how design is used by Victorian enterprises to deliver economic, environmental and social benefits.

This website will share and promote awareness of these benefits, emerging trends and how design can be used effectively by Victorian enterprises.
